Ksar ouled driss
Founded by nomads who settled in the region at the beginning of the XXVII century from the region of Golmine.
ksar (fortified village ) Ouled Driss, located south-east of Morocco (456 south of Marrakech and 6 km before M’hamid) between the thirtieth parallel and crossed by the median 6° west.
Architecture:
Ksar Ouled Driss se distinguished by its authentic architecture ranging from its long towers designed for the surveillance of the ksar during the period of the tribal war (17, 18 and 19 centuries), passing through its small covered alleys, to the central square devoted to the celebration of ceremonies, parties and weddings.
Population:
The population of the ksar is essentially divided into two races, the “hrares”. The majority of the inhabitants are fellahs who live mainly from agriculture in the palm grove, the production of dates and traditional livestock.
