Dar Mchicha is a lovely house well hidden at the bottom of its derb. It could be called the house of silence as the calm that reigns there is imposing.
Here, there is no street or neighborhood noise, rest assured. Located not far from the Jamaa el fnaa square in the Riad Laarous district, it offers a very central position close to the souks. After passing under the “Saba” (room built upstairs on the alley), lower your head and enter this haven of peace.
Pleasant proportions, patio with wall fountain, generous banana tree if you are lucky enough to be there in the right season, wooden galleries upstairs, we are immediately charmed by Dar Mchicha, in French “the house of the kitten”.
Three bedrooms, named after the most beautiful species of the breed await you, each with private bathroom and toilet but outside the bedroom. Angora, on the ground floor with its imposing fireplace can accommodate up to 3 people.
Upstairs, Siamoise and Persanne, served individually by their own staircase, can accommodate 2 and 4 people respectively. Each of them has its private gallery overlooking the patio, giving the whole a little “Andalusian” side; you could almost hear the serenade. Idleness is not far away, neither are the terraces.
