Surfing was brought to Morocco by foreigners (Australians, Californians) in the early 1980s. Geographically, the Moroccan coast is very well exposed to the winter swell and has a potential for impressive waves, these are among the most beautiful in Africa and even in Europe, very popular with the pros these days.
